This very haunting melody is set for flexible woodwind
trio instrumentation. While written for flute, oboe, and bassoon it is playable with
clarinet and bass clarinet substituting for oboe and bassoon, respectively. Flute
range is carefully considered and opportunities for lower octaves make this piece more
accessible for younger players.

the American revolutionaries. While Chester is a well-known melody, Bunker Hill is just as
